Episode 25: Mr. X couldn't SLAW, Cash Salt's SLAW, Spa SLAWs through the weekend & Cruz writes about SLAW

Its our SILVER EPISODE 25 and we moved SLAW to Wednesday.
Spa was happy, just not as much as last week.  Mr. X had a scheduling conflict and missed out on SLAW Wednesday.  Cash was wearing his colorful shirt (well a shirt with a little more color/pattern than normal for Cash).
Besides his nice shirt, Cash brought:
1.  Breaded/Fried then Sliced Chicken Breast on bed of Lettuce, with little Lemon.
2.  Delicious Bread with lightly Salted California Dairies Butter.
3.  Home-made Chocolate Brownies

Editors Note: The salt level in lettuce was high, a "culinary ooops" by Cash. Cash and Cruz (that's me) ate it (because its the nice thing to do to not waste food). Spa had an excuse (swollen feet?) and Mr. X didn't have any after the 1st bite.

Here is picture of Mr. X's chair cause he was not there. (I just noticed how Cash gave both end-slices to Mr. X)  He ate his SLAW in his office later in the afternoon.
Our discussion for today stayed on Spa with Cash frequently guiding Spa with questions so Team SLAW can get the full scoop of her weekend adventures (Editor's Note: Sorry can't go too much into details since I don't have copyright or any rights).  We did learn that Spa feasted on braised short ribs over the weekend.  (Editor's Note: Wish I can get a picture of her rib feasting) .The story ended with a discussion on best breed of dog and we went from Greyhound (which was part of Spa's story) to Doodleman Pincher to Goldendoodle to Labradoodle to some other doodle.  Thankfully we didn't start discussing bich-poo...

Going back to food, I would say, these were some really
awesome brownies!
This sharing food at work is not a bad idea after all.

Episode 24: Frankie's 457 Meatballs, Spa is super happy, Cash lost his phones and Mr X's vacuuming gone wild weekend!!

Its Tuesday 2.15.11.
Hello and we are back!  While we are on the subject Mr X is home with a bad back caused by some extreme vacuuming action over the weekend. (Feel better)

Today was SPA day at Project SLAW...
(She was really in a great mood, really happy, smiling)

She brought:
1.  Frankies 457's Meatballs w/raisins http://www.frankiesspuntino.com/
(Spa commented that Mr. X wouldn't have liked the meatballs because of raisins)
2.  Dean & Deluca's delicious Fresh Mozzarella
3.  Dean & Deluca's Bread
4.  Dean & Deluca's Caramel filled Chocolate
(EDITOR's NOTE:  I thought we were all planning to be more healthy and loose weight, but this was FANTASTIC!)

Cash told us about loosing his iPhone & blackberry at a burger place and took us on an 10 minute adventure retracing every step till we found out exactly where he left his cell phone.  It was at a (drum roll please.......) super market. (Story resembled a Jason Bourne script, minus Matt Damon & action & score but suspense was there)... definitely entertaining.
Spa was just happy.  I mean really happy. (Note to self: Need to investigate further)
I tried to add some music to SLAW but that lasted about 3 minutes.

Next Week's SLAW
It's Cash's turn.
Expect some amazing gourmet lunch from the Kitchen of Mrs Cash! No Pressure.

Episode 23: Its Flash from the Past Tuesday's @ SLAW and Mr. X debuts his cooking skills with soup

Its Flash from the Past Tuesday and Mr. X officially joined SLAW with
1.  Home-made Butternut Squash Soup (prepared by Mr X) served with Croutons
2.  Deal & Deluca Bread & Butter
3.  Tate's Bake Shop Macadamia Nut CookiesThe soup was unanimously loved by everyone and that was the first time I had this soup in my life.  Definitely a great entrance into SLAW and certainly looking forward to next Mr. X's SLAW.
So today was Flash from the Past Tuesday at SLAW.  We were all asked to bring some old memorable pictures.
Mr. X was so busy making soup, he forgot about it. Spa and I just picked up a bunch of baby pictures and Cash came prepared, with his pictures in a folder in chronological order.  Since our itendities are somewhat hidden, here are some of the pics but hopefully none too revealing.
Spa's brought a pictures from every country in the world, Cash brought some college memories (IDs, pictures-nothing too scandalous) and I was all over the decades with my 3 year old in Flushing Queens, my 2 year old infront of a banana tree, at work 10 years ago, my first prom picture.
You can see Cash's college ID, Cash hanging by his car, Spa's baby picture and Spa in Lahore Pakistan, and my prom picture in the pic pile below.
Some notable ones are Spa as a cheerleader or on her prom night, I as a proud geek with glasses & pants tied at my chest and Cash College ID wih spiked hair.
A delicious memorable SLAW!

SLAW Weekly Introduces Flash from the Past Tuesday's....

Episode 22: Spa eats spicy rice and beef to fix her tummy ache and Cash spits out Plum Pits.

Its spicy food day at SLAW.  My mom cooked and I brought

1. Bombay Beef Biryani (Basmati Rice cooked in layers of rice, potatoes, minced beef and spices)
2. Plain white Basmati Rice.
3. Yogurt with pepper and cucumber.
4. Ritter Sport Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts.
I was unable to get rights to most of our conversation so not much to write here.  Spa was not well today, tummy ache.  Hopefully all the spicy rice and beef helped her.  Mr. X was reminded that next week is his turn and he was so thrilled to hear that. (We all think we will be having PB&J sandwiches next Tuesday with every one of the sandwich made with end-slices). Cash poured yogurt over his rice hiding all the plum pits and other spice debris usually found in Biryani.
Now to make this a healthier blog (especially since our lunch wasn't), here is SLAW Health tip of the day:
(HealthDay News) -- If you've resolved to lose weight, taking the time to savor your food may be an easy way to help you eat less.
The American Dietetic Association suggests how to eat slower:
 - Put down your utensils between each bite.
 - Use chopsticks instead of Western utensils.
 - Chew your food completely before swallowing.
 - Make meal time a social time. Engage in conversation to stretch out the meal and interrupt your eating.

 SLAW you later!
